History
Coleman Employment Services, a program of Coleman Professional Services, was established in 1986 when community employment services were added to the behavioral health and rehabilitation organization's repertoire.

In 1987, Coleman was awarded an $89,230 Community Employment Grant from the Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission. Coleman Employment Services, which was then simply called vocational services continued to grow and expand its services as grant money and allocated budget dollars allowed the program to attract more clients and local employers.
Coleman Employment Services began to extend its reach from Portage County into Trumbull, Medina and Stark Counties as the demand for services increased. In 2006, after officially becoming Coleman Employment Services, the program opened an office in Canton, Ohio, to serve the Stark County community.
In the fall of 2006, Coleman Employment Services' new Stark County program was tapped for a national Johnson & Johnson Supported Employment Grant. Coleman was one of only three Ohio agencies to receive the grant money.
Coleman Employment Services continues to grow and expand its services to connect local employers and individuals seeking meaningful employment.
